In a previous post, I mentioned how I was working on developing some herbal medicines from what was growing in my garden. I have two sage plants in my garden and they are strong, beefy bushes of great attitude and stature! No joke, they are so bountiful that I have cucumber vines using them as climbing support.
Anyways, I tried cooking with it but neither myself nor my husband really appreciate the taste of sage enough to really make it a regular thing. So when I decided to expand my herbal medicine cabinet I looked up info on sage. I found a nice and simple recipe for a sage cough syrup from the blog And Here We Are.
I just strained the leaves from the honey this evening and it is gorgeous. I used it in my nightly tea and it is more delicious than I thought! Who says medicine has to taste gross? :)
