The “barm” is still leveling up to bread dough, it is now in the “firm starter” stage. Tomorrow I’ll finish all the various steps of kneading and rising before actually baking the bread.
I worked more on some needle felting this weekend, as well. I tried making another bird, it is smaller but just as adorable. I also tried needle felting roving onto a felt square. I’m getting the hang of it, I think. I am still holding off on trying a more complex bird design (more realistic/lifelike) until I feel a smidge more confident with the process.
On the nature front I was able to take a short walk through a neighborhood park today. I love that Pacific Northwest winters are so vibrantly green. The skies may be grey but trees and mosses make the world a lovely shade of green. It’s almost like spring is hanging out wearing a grey coat. I didn’t bring my binoculars but I saw some cute wrens and kinglets amongst the drippy branches.
